Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sidekicks Care ("Sidekicks Care," "we," "us") collects, uses and protects information when you visit sidekickscare.com (the "Website"), request care, apply for a job, or contact us. By using the Website, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Care request form: first and last name, email address, phone number, city, the type of care you are interested in, hours per week, preferred start time, your message, and whether you agree to receive text messages.
  • Job application form: first and last name, email address, phone number, city, the position you are interested in, availability, caregiving experience and your message.
  • Direct contact: information you share when you call, text or email us.

If you send us information about another person, such as a parent or spouse who may receive care, you confirm that you have their permission or are authorized to act on their behalf.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of each visit. These logs are used for security and to keep the Website running.
  • Form submission details: when you submit a form, we record your IP address, the page you sent it from and the date and time. We also look up the approximate location of that IP address (city, region and country) through an IP geolocation service. This location is an estimate based on your internet connection, not your exact address, and we do not use GPS or ask your device for its location. These details are included with your request.
  • Spam protection: separately, we temporarily store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to 10 minutes to limit repeated submissions, and we record how long the form took to complete to filter automated spam.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking on the Website. If that changes, we will update this policy before doing so.

2. Health information

Our Website forms are not designed to collect medical or health information. Please do not include medical records, diagnoses, medication lists or other detailed health information in a form or email. We will discuss care needs with you directly during your consultation.

If you or your loved one becomes a client, information about care is handled under your service agreement and applicable law.

3. How we use information

  • To respond to your request, schedule a free consultation and discuss care options.
  • To review job applications and contact applicants.
  • To check whether a request comes from within our Southwest Florida service area.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Website and prevent spam, fraud and abuse, including by reviewing the IP address and approximate location of form submissions.
  • To keep records and meet our legal, regulatory and employment obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

4. Calls, texts and email

When you submit a form, you agree that Sidekicks Care may contact you by phone or email about your request or application.

Text messages. We send text messages only if you check the text message box on our form or otherwise give us permission. Messages relate to your request, such as scheduling and follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of receiving services.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run our business and as described below:

  • Service providers that help us operate, such as our website host and email provider (Hostinger), Google (reCAPTCHA and, if you choose to open it, Google Maps) and our IP geolocation providers (ipinfo.io, with ipapi.co as a backup), which receive only your IP address to return an approximate location. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
  • Legal reasons: when required by law, court order or government request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our clients, caregivers, the public or Sidekicks Care.
  • Business changes: if Sidekicks Care is involved in a merger, sale or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

6. Cookies and third-party services

The Website itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies needed for spam protection. The service area section loads Google Maps only if you select the "Google Maps" view; Google may then set its own cookies under its privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though forms may not work if reCAPTCHA is blocked.

The Website may link to other sites, such as Google or social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

7. How long we keep information

We keep care inquiries, including the IP address and approximate location recorded with them, for as long as needed to respond, provide services if you become a client, and maintain business records. We keep job applications for at least one year, as required by federal employment record rules, and no longer than reasonably necessary after that. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to form submissions. No website or email transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Florida law, including section 501.171, Florida Statutes.

9. Your choices

  • Access, correction and deletion: you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Texts: reply STOP to any text message.
  • Email: ask us to stop emailing you at any time.
  • Do Not Track: the Website does not track you across other sites, so it does not respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

10. Minors

The Website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
