Accessibility statement

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Sidekicks Care wants every family to be able to learn about our services and reach us easily, including people who use assistive technology. We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we have done

  • Clear page structure with one main heading per page and headings in order, so screen readers can move through sections.
  • Every feature works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
  • Text and buttons use color contrast that meets WCAG AA, and nothing relies on color alone.
  • Images have text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Every form field has a visible label. Errors are described in text and announced to screen readers.
  • The homepage slideshow can be paused, and animations are turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Pages work at 200% zoom and on phones, tablets and desktops.
  • Phone numbers and email addresses are links, so you can call or write with one tap.

Known limitations

  • Maps: the coverage map is an illustration. The same information is available as a list of communities next to it. The optional Google Maps view is provided by Google and may not be fully accessible.
  • reCAPTCHA: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to block spam. It works in the background without a puzzle, but it depends on Google's service.

If either of these gets in your way, call us and we will take your request by phone.

Compatibility

The website is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, and with common screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS.

Feedback and help

If you have trouble using any part of this website, or need information in a different format, please contact us. We will help you directly and work to fix the issue.

When you write, it helps to include the page address and a short description of the problem.

Ongoing work

We review the website as we add new pages and features, and we update this statement when things change.
